About the role
You will work four nights per week across two nearby homes in Taunton, both located within an approximate 2-mile radius of each other. One home supports five gentlemen, while the other supports three men and four women, all with a range of disabilities and support needs. Each night, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, calm and comforting environment where people feel secure, respected and well-supported.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out regular keeping-safe checks to ensure everyone is comfortable and settled
- Maintaining a clean, hygienic and welcoming environment throughout the night
- Accurately recording important information using our easy-to-use IT systems, including support notes and health and safety checks
- Creating a reassuring, therapeutic atmosphere that promotes wellbeing
- Supporting people with their evening or night-time routines in ways that matter to them
- Providing personal care, when required, always with dignity, compassion and respect
