At Discovery, we support people across Somerset and Cornwall to live the lives they choose. Join a friendly, dedicated team where people are at the heart of everything we do, and enjoy excellent training, development and benefits.

There's no typical Support Worker here—our teams come from all backgrounds, united by a shared desire to help people live well, learn new skills and gain independence. You'll make a real difference every day, creating meaningful moments and supporting choice.

Thanks to our amazing teams, Dimensions Group has been accredited as a Great Place to Work for 2026 — our eighth consecutive year of recognition.

About the role

At Rhydderch House Flat, you'll be supporting a wonderful gentleman in his 60s who lives life in his own unique way. You'll play an important part in understanding his cues, building trust, and making sure he always feels safe, respected and listened to. With learning disabilities, autism, sensory processing differences, he needs patient, compassionate people around him who can offer reassurance and support through every part of his day.

You might be enjoying music together and having a little dance around the house, heading out for a walk along the beach followed by fish and chips, or relaxing in the garden while he spends time on his swing or in his lazy spa. He loves being out and about—whether that's a stroll around Ninesprings with a hot chocolate in the café, or simply sitting in the kitchen watching you cook a home-cooked meal.

This role includes full personal care and lone working, so confidence, resilience and kindness are essential.

Driving license: A full UK drivers license is essential to drive his mobility vehicle.

If you're someone who leads with empathy and enjoys making every day meaningful, we'd love to hear from you.

About you

We're looking for someone warm, patient and genuinely enthusiastic about making a positive difference every day. You'll be caring, flexible, supportive and comfortable working with people who have a range of communication and physical support needs. You don't need experience — just compassion, reliability and the willingness to learn specialist skills.

You’ll also need basic IT skills, as you’ll be using digital systems to update daily records, support plans and medication notes.

If you're someone who brings kindness, energy, humour and heart into everything you do — we'd love to meet you.
