About the role

This service is a beautiful house with lovely gardens, situated in Cheddar and is home to 13 people we support – 10 in the main house, and 3 in self‑contained flats. The people we support here tend to be older and have varying needs. This role will include supporting people through the night alongside a second member of staff who would be doing a sleep in.

Tasks include:

  • Checking on people through the night and providing support
  • Doing laundry, ironing, general cleaning
  • Helping with paperwork
  • Ensuring everything is ready for their day in the morning

Every night, you’ll help create a safe, calm, and comforting environment for the people we support. Your role will include:

  • Carrying out regular “keeping safe checks” to ensure everyone feels secure and comfortable
  • Maintaining a clean, hygienic space so that the environment is welcoming and safe
  • Recording important information using our easy-to-use IT systems – from support plans to health and safety logs – so we can provide the best care possible
  • Creating a therapeutic, reassuring atmosphere that promotes wellbeing throughout the night
  • Supporting people to enjoy their late evenings or nights in ways that matter to them
  • Providing personal care when needed, always with dignity and respect
