As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will play a vital role in making every night safe, comfortable, and meaningful for the people we support.
This waking night role supports six adults across two homes in Chard and Crewkerne. At The Old Farmhouse, you will be supporting five people living in self-contained accommodation within one building, while also providing waking night support to one person living independently in a flat at Rhydderch House. Your presence overnight is key to ensuring everyone feels safe, reassured, and well supported.
Responsibilities- Carry out regular “keeping safe checks” to ensure everyone feels secure and comfortable.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic space so that the environment is welcoming and safe.
- Record important information using our easy-to-use IT systems - from support plans to health and safety logs - so we can provide the best care possible.
- Create a therapeutic, reassuring atmosphere that promotes wellbeing throughout the night.
- Support people to enjoy their late evenings or nights in ways that matter to them.
- Provide personal care when needed, always with dignity and respect.
