Discovery Vine Childcare are seeking to employ 1 qualified playworker at their Out of School Club at Fulwood St Peters C of E Primary School during the afternoons. Discovery Vine Childcare provides a high standard of care and education in each of our settings where children are actively encouraged to explore, learn and interact with others.
As part of your role, you will be responsible for helping the supervisor in the running of the club, focusing on the children's emotional wellbeing, and planning interesting and exciting activities for their continuing learning and development. You will also be developing close relationships with our children and their families.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Ensure that all children attending the setting are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.
- Help plan activities appropriately for children.
- Work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members.
- Demonstrate good practice with regard to special needs and inclusion.
- Ensuring that all legislation in relation to special needs, safeguarding and Health and Safety is complied with.
The applicant:
- Ideally qualified Level 2 and above in Early Years.
- Experience of working with children and families.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding.
In return, this opportunity offers the ideal applicant a competitive salary whilst working as part of a highly successful team. The successful candidate will be required to have an enhanced DBS. The hours are 3.00pm - 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Extra hours available to cover staff sickness and annual leave. Term time only. These positions are to start as soon as possible. Pay will be dependent on qualifications and experience. Higher the qualification, higher the rate of pay.
