About the Role: As a Relief (Bank) Support Worker, you’ll provide person-centred support to people with learning disabilities and, in some services, complex healthcare needs. You’ll work across homes in Hayle and Penzance, supporting teams as required. This is a day-shift focused bank role, suited to people who can pick up shifts as and when available.
Shift Information: A mixture of shifts between 7am and 10pm. There may also be a requirement for sleep-in shifts, which are paid at £50 per sleep-in.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting people with everyday activities and personal care
- Promoting independence, dignity and choice
- Supporting individuals with complex healthcare needs, where required
- Working alongside experienced teams across multiple services
- Following care plans and risk assessments
- Supporting people to live fulfilling and meaningful lives
What We’re Looking For:
- Full UK driving licence
- Access to your own vehicle
- Ability to work across services in Hayle and Penzance
- Flexibility to pick up day shifts
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities
- Experience of complex healthcare needs (e.g. epilepsy, PEG, mobility support)
- A caring, reliable and positive attitude
No formal qualifications are required — we value the right attitude and commitment above all else.
