About the role
At Apple Tree Court — a lively home supporting 12 adults aged from their 20s to their 60s — we’re excited to welcome Support Workers who are ready to bring fresh ideas, positivity, and a values‑driven approach to life. Here, no two days look the same. You might be helping someone enjoy a pamper session or a trip to the spa, whilst others enjoy listening and making music with their drums and the piano, or joining our regular coffee meet‑ups and movie nights. We love getting out into the community too — from shopping trips and visits to Greenbanks, and local events like Learning Disabilities Day at Millfield.
The people we support have a range of needs including autism, dementia, epilepsy, diabetes and behaviours of distress. Some people we support use communication passports and their own unique styles. You’ll support everything from gentle prompting to full personal care, mobility support (wheelchairs & hoists), and modified meal support. Apple Tree Court is just a short walk from Clarks Village, with great transport links and access to local facilities like gyms and pools. Drivers are preferred, though non‑drivers are welcome. Shifts: 7am - 2:30pm / 2:30pm - 10pm and including working alternate weekends.

You don’t need previous experience to become a great Support Worker — what matters most is your attitude. We’re looking for people who are patient, positive, kind and genuinely motivated to help others live well. Training, Development and Career Opportunities

Within your first 12 weeks, we’ll fund and support you to complete the Care Certificate, which is essential for anyone working in health and social care. You’ll have access to a wide range of online and face‑to‑face training, including specialist courses tailored to the needs of the people you support. Through our City & Guilds accredited qualification centre, you can work towards diplomas and recognised qualifications — and in some cases earn a financial bonus on completion. Our Learning Connect online platform gives you access to extensive training pathways so you can continue developing your skills throughout your career with us.
