Moness Resort is a popular holiday destination located in the small market town of Aberfeldy in rural Perthshire. Situated amidst stunning Highland scenery, the resort offers a range of accommodations, including well-equipped family-friendly self-catering cottages and hotel rooms, making it a popular destination for couples, families, and groups. Providing a relaxing retreat where guests can unwind amongst breathtaking surroundings while enjoying a wide range of amenities and activities. The resort is set in 35 spacious acres of ground with a lovely woodland area and duck pond. With the surrounding area providing ample opportunity for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, golf, and fishing. Within the resort, there are leisure facilities such as a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and hot tub. A dedicated Spa with a relaxing range of treatments using the latest products from the award-winning Ishga skincare range. On-site restaurants and bars and an outdoor terrace offer a variety of experiences from modern and informal family-friendly dining through to more intimate and formal (without being stuffy); all offering a delicious choice of tasty local dishes. A very popular destination for weddings and gatherings, we tailor events that will suit a special occasion or celebration. Responsible for supervising the housekeeping team and coordinating the daily activities. You ensure the high standards of cleanliness and ultimately the guest’s satisfaction is achieved each day. The Senior Housekeeping Supervisor assigns duties, carefully inspecting each room and cottage meticulously as well as all the public areas throughout the resort. Quickly reporting any maintenance issues that may arise while ensuring we continue to maintain a safe and efficient working environment for our team. Our housekeeping team are crucial to the upkeep of our beautiful resort and maintaining the ambitious standards of cleanliness we all enjoy. You are an enthusiastic trainer and will guide the team in best working practice, creating a memorable and pleasant experience from the moment our guest arrives until their departure day.

Responsibilities

  • This is a key supervisory role and works closely with the Housekeeping Manager to ensure the team, which includes Housekeepers, Cottage Cleaners, and Linen Drivers, are briefed and feel supported.
  • You allocate tasks and duties to each team member according to their shift schedule and agree working ratios, offering guidance and training as and when needed.
  • You conduct daily inspections of our guest bedrooms within the hotel, our guest cottages, public areas, and the other facilities to ensure the high standards of cleanliness and presentation are achieved.
  • Meticulously performing inventory checks to ensure on arrival each guest bedroom or cottage is fully equipped and to the high standards expected from Moness Resort.
  • Check each cottage and bedroom for any maintenance or decoration issues and report those via our maintenance portal.
  • Consulting with other departments to ensure that our guests' stay is seamless.
  • This is a hands-on role, and you jump in to help with any cleaning duties, lead by example, and offer training and support to ensure the team complete their tasks on time.
  • Assist the team in our on-site laundry to ensure we have the required levels of fresh bed linen and towels.
  • Undertake the coordination of deep cleans as directed by the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Monitor the level of cleaning supplies available for the team by conducting regular inventory, reporting replenishment needs to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • You keep your workspace organised and clutter-free, encouraging the team to follow suit through continual training and support.
  • Observe and train in the use of chemicals and manual handling.
  • You have a warm and friendly personality, professional and respectful of guests' privacy, responding to any needs they may have efficiently.
