In your role as Housekeeping Assistant, your primary task is to maintain our incredible facilities, keeping them clean and tidy, ensuring our exceptional standards are upheld. The Residential Services Department is spread across the whole estate, working and collaborating with team members throughout the various areas of the club. We believe in having fun and creating memorable moments for our members and visiting guests at their ‘home from home’, making sure each visit is unique.
You support preparation of the department’s equipment, cleaning products, supplies and linen, ensuring everything is kept organised in readiness for refreshing rooms, members and their guests’ departure days, and servicing days in between. People are our priority, maintaining our team member areas of the castle with the same high standard of care and attention to detail as our guest spaces, all with warmth and care.
Ensure cleanliness, presentation and hygiene of your assigned area, whether that be our wild retreat, one of the two comfort stations on the golf course, our team member spaces, the grand dining halls or one of our castle suites, or guest homes. Service our castle suites, guest homes and other guest spaces by following procedures clearly and attentively. Removing all dust and debris by expertly using the correct cleaning materials required for each task. Vacuum floors, corridors and stairs, bedrooms and bathrooms, cleaning all surfaces and floors; showers, baths, basins and toilets; kitchens, windows and garden furniture.
Refresh and maintain suites at various times throughout the day including evening turn downs. Restocking and replacing items in bedrooms and bathrooms, making sure everything is in its place and maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness and presentation. Ensure guest areas are clean and looking their best, front entrance swept and welcoming, fires set ready for lighting, newspapers and magazines available, and flowers are fresh.
Support with deep cleaning of other areas within the operation as and when required, and as directed by management. Monitor stock levels and assist with the inventory, restocking and receiving of items to ensure the smooth running of the residential services department. Attend and contribute to departmental meetings and wider business meetings, where necessary.
Follow and accurately complete cleaning schedules and checklists for each area of the business you are involved with. Uphold our exceptional standards while demonstrating passion and flair in the pursuit of service excellence. Actively involved in the day-to-day operation through observance, collaborating proactively with team members across our wide range of facilities.
This role can involve long periods of standing, walking and bending. Attention to detail with a warm, casual style letting your genuine personality shine through. Calm, confident and discreet, taking huge pride in your presentation. Exemplary time management and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure to juggle competing priorities with minimum supervision. Adapt accordingly to suit the profile of the business.
