Occasional travel between Discovery locations may be required. A valid driving license and appropriate business insurance are necessary, and you will need to provide evidence of these documents.

Discovery Extended Services provides Wrap Around Care and Holiday Camp provisions across our Primary schools. We are recruiting for a range of new roles that will be based within the central Discovery Trust Extended Services Team, to further develop our current and future provision model. Discovery's aim is to ensure children attending our Extended Services provisions are provided with an opportunity to engage in activities both indoors and outdoors, while being cared for by trusted and engaging adults. We believe high quality and engaging environments support the holistic wellbeing and learning for each child, which will encourage children to have a healthy body and a healthy mind. High-quality care is essential, not only as a service for parents but a chance for children to explore interests, make friends and experience things our school curriculum is unable to embrace because of time.

Position details:

  • Grade 7, Pay Point 11-14.
  • Term-Time hours: 35 hours per week and 39 weeks per year. Monday - Friday, 7:00-9:00 am and 2:45-6:00 pm (with additional hours to be worked flexibly).
  • Non Term-Time hours: Monday - Friday 45 hours per week (with an unpaid lunch break) (Overall average 37 hours per week over 52 weeks per year).
  • The starting salary is based on working 37 hours per week over 52 weeks per year, due to the nature of the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide children with caring, high quality and engaging activities and contribute to developing the Extended Services provision model.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Safeguarding: an Enhanced DBS check and references are required. A valid driving license and appropriate business insurance evidence are also required as noted above.
