We are seeking a proactive and reliable Site Supervisor to join our Facilities team at Discovery Multi Academy Trust. You will play a key role in ensuring our school premises are safe, secure and well‑maintained, creating a clean and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors. Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, you will oversee the daily maintenance, security and general upkeep of the school site, working both independently and as part of a team to support the smooth running of the Trust's facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the security of the school premises, including locking/unlocking and responding to emergency call‑outs.
  • Carry out routine inspections to identify and report damage, maintenance issues or vandalism.
  • Assist with preventative and reactive maintenance of the building, machinery and plant equipment.
  • Supervise cleaning and lettings team ensuring agreed standards and user requirements are met.
  • Promote and maintain high standards of health and safety across the school.
  • Undertake additional duties as directed by the Facilities Manager.

We are looking for someone who

  • Is practical, hands‑on and takes pride in their work.
  • Can work independently with minimal supervision and use their initiative.
  • Has good communication and organisational skills.
  • Is reliable, flexible and committed to maintaining a safe school environment.
  • Has experience in site or premises management, maintenance or a related field (desirable).

Hours: 35 hours per week Monday – Friday, all year round. There is flexibility with regards to a split shift or full shift but will be worked over 5 days.

Salary: Pay Band D (8‑14) £26,824 – £29,540 per annum.
