Ashfield Academy is seeking a Site Manager who will play a vital role in ensuring the school remains safe, secure, and well‑maintained. The role involves overseeing day‑to‑day site operations, leading the premises team, and managing health and safety systems and risk assessments to keep our environment in excellent condition for pupils and staff. Working closely with senior leaders, the Site Manager will help deliver improvements across the site and provide practical, solution‑focused support whenever needed.

The School is rated Outstanding by Ofsted as of July 2024 and serves students with special educational needs and/or disabilities.

Qualifications
  • Level 4 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace
  • Level 4 Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
  • National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Literacy and Numeracy at Level 2 or above
Experience
  • Experience of managing projects
  • Experience of leading a team or line management
  • Experience of carrying out quality assurance work
  • Experience of improving systems
Skills and Knowledge
  • Understanding of statutory advice and guidance in relation to health and safety in the workplace
  • Understanding of safeguarding legislation in education including Keeping Children Safe in Education
  • Understanding of special educational needs and disability awareness or willingness to learn
  • Ability to improve own practice
  • Ability to interpret data and information and take appropriate action as a result
  • Ability to work on own initiative and complete tasks as requested
