Welcome to Green House – a vibrant, friendly home where no two days are ever the same. Here you will support six adults aged 40–60, each with their own interests and unique personalities. The people you support have a range of needs including epilepsy, Down’s syndrome and autism. Four of them use wheelchairs and require hoisting. A key part of your role is helping everyone feel comfortable, included and supported. Life at Green House is full of fun and meaningful experiences. You might help someone with hydrotherapy in the pool, support a gentleman on his electric‑assist bike, or visit the goats and chickens during animal therapy. Others enjoy discos, local theatre shows, cheering in football club, supporting someone to church, and holidays to places like Centre Parcs. You will be part of a warm, supportive team that focuses on active support, meal preparation, day‑to‑day living, and helping people make the most of every day. Shifts run between 7 am and 10 pm with one sleep‑in per week and on alternate weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support six adults with daily living, ensuring safety and inclusion.
  • Assist with mobility, including hoist usage for wheelchair users.
  • Provide care and facilitate recreational activities such as hydrotherapy, cycling, animal therapy, theatre, sports and holidays.
  • Help with meal preparation, hygiene, medication and other personal care tasks.
  • Build trusting relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
  • Contribute to an enjoyable and safe environment for everyone.
