At Discovery Education, we inspire learning—and the product team is committed to making a measurable difference for educators and students at scale. Product management is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and driving the most impactful opportunities that accelerate customer value and business growth. Our product teams are organized to enable Agile development: cross‑functional teams form around objectives and measurable key results, collaborating to determine the most critical problems to solve and the strategies that will drive the greatest outcomes.

In this role, you will be accountable not only for backlog execution, but for shaping strategy, ensuring product viability, and delivering measurable impact across a portfolio of initiatives.

In This Role You Will:

  • Product strategy & outcomes
    • Own and drive the product strategy, road map, and backlog for DreamBox Math’s student experience
    • Define and articulate a clear student experience vision tied to company strategy, product vision, and measurable outcomes
    • Establish and own product‑specific key results (KPIs) and reporting to measure and communicate success
    • Validate tactical viability using release strategies, feedback forums, and data collection techniques
    • Help build business cases for growth
  • Delivery, execution & release management
    • Lead end‑to‑end product lifecycle management from discovery through delivery, iteration, and scale
    • Lead complex initiatives across multiple workstreams, aligning scope, resourcing, and timelines
    • Provide delivery leadership across release planning and implementation by coordinating schedules, communicating status, managing risks/issues, and ensuring quality
  • Cross‑functional leadership, customer insights & innovation
    • Represent the business’s needs through defined requirements and priorities for curriculum, design, and engineering teams
    • Represent the needs of educators and students, building them directly into priorities through collaboration with user research, product marketing, data teams, and internal stakeholders
    • Build strong relationships across the curriculum and broader organisation to garner buy‑in, pull workstreams together, and leverage internal expertise
    • Use AI and emerging technologies to accelerate DreamBox’s speed to market and customer value
    • Mentor and support other product managers, contributing to product practice excellence and team capability building

Core Competencies for Success:

  • Strategic Mindset — Translate the student experience vision into a focused road map that balances impact, feasibility, and long‑term product value
  • Communicates Effectively — Build shared understanding by framing problems, options, and trade‑offs clearly, and by tailoring messages for technical, curriculum, and executive audiences
  • Decision Quality — Make principled prioritisation decisions using evidence (data + research), and document rationale so teams can execute with confidence
  • Customer Focus — Keep educator and student needs at the centre by converting insights into clear requirements, usability improvements, and measurable learning outcomes
  • Learning Agility — Learn quickly in new areas (e.g., AI, analytics, K–12 constraints) and apply those insights through experimentation and iteration

Credentials and Experience:

  • 5+ years product management (or similar) experience, with increasing scope and ownership
  • Demonstrated experience owning product strategy and delivering measurable business impact
  • Experience working in Agile / SCRUM development and leading cross‑functional teams
  • Experience partnering with curriculum designers to build student content, particularly for grades K–8
  • Experience working closely with digital designers (product, UI/UX, etc.) and software engineers (front and back end)
  • Experience evaluating and pitching strategy, roadmaps and investment proposals to senior leadership
  • Proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint, Jira, BI tools, SQL, etc. or similar
  • Legal right to work in the United Kingdom
