Purpose of the Role
The Junior HR Administrator will provide administrative support to the HR department, ensuring that employee records, recruitment processes, and compliance requirements are maintained to a high standard. This is an entry-level role, ideal for a school leaver or someone seeking to start a career in Human Resources. The successful candidate will receive training and development opportunities to gain knowledge of HR best practice, employment law, and organisational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team and HR Manager.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in line with GDPR and organisational policies.
- Assist with the recruitment process, including advertising vacancies, scheduling interviews, and preparing offer letters.
- Support the onboarding process for new starters, including reference checks, contracts, and induction paperwork.
- Assist in monitoring staff absences, holidays, and sickness records in line with company procedures and ACAS guidance.
- Prepare HR letters, documents, and reports as required.
- Respond to routine employee queries in a professional and timely manner, escalating where appropriate.
- Support the coordination of training and development activities.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, safeguarding requirements, and health and safety regulations.
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as required.

- Proficient in GoogleWorkspace (Sheets / Docs).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong interest in Human Resources.
- Ability to work as part of a team and use initiative when required.

- Previous administrative experience (work placement, part-time role, or school/college project work).
- Knowledge of HR processes or employment law (training will be provided).
