A fast-growing tech organisation in Riyadh is seeking an accomplished Director of Quality Assurance to lead its QA function and drive product excellence across a portfolio of complex digital solutions. Reporting directly to the CTO, this role is part of the senior technology leadership team, playing a strategic role in ensuring product reliability, security, and performance at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute a forward-looking QA strategy aligned with technical and business goals.
- Establish a high standard for product quality across web, mobile, and backend services.
- Lead and scale a results-driven QA organisation.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
- Build and refine test planning, case development, defect management, and QA documentation practices.
- Champion traceability, reproducibility, and process maturity across the QA lifecycle.
- Design and implement scalable automation frameworks for end-to-end, regression, and integration testing.
- Drive adoption of tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Postman, and integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Promote best practices such as TDD and BDD to improve code quality and delivery velocity.
- Lead security assurance initiatives, including vulnerability assessments, secure code reviews, and penetration testing.
- Implement automated security validation tools (e.g., Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP).
- Ensure compliance with national cybersecurity regulations and frameworks.
- Manage performance testing strategies to ensure systems scale under high user volumes and demanding workloads.
- Utilize tools like JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner to simulate real-world usage patterns.
- Set benchmarks for system responsiveness and conduct resilience testing in dynamic environments.
- Define and track KPIs such as defect leakage rates, test coverage, and mean time to resolution.
- Deliver detailed reporting to executive leadership on QA outcomes, risks, and optimizations.
- Work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to embed quality checks into the SDLC.
- Serve as the central point of contact for QA strategy, ensuring technical and non-technical stakeholders are aligned.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, tools, and techniques to continuously evolve QA capabilities.
- Evaluate and adopt new platforms, methods, or approaches that enhance efficiency and quality.
