Responsible for development, maintenance and enhancement of Discover's authentication, mobile, contact/contactless, and relevant payment technology based technical specifications. Plan and lead Go‑to‑Market strategic projects for core products. Lead people, evaluation and determination of project scope. Responsible for policy integration for various core products. Collaborate with multiple business and technology stakeholders and manage functionality inputs and delivery outputs for platforms that enable various payment mechanisms.
Key Skills/Competencies and Proficiency Levels:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience.
- 7-10 years plus Product Management, Project Management, Security, Fraud Risk Management, Authentication.
- Certified SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager preferred.
- An excellent communicator with good MS Office skills.
- A track record in product and project management from the payments industry.
- Rally, Scaled Agile/Scrum Product development methodology preferred.
Principal Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare material for management.
- Research global payment trends, competitor's landscape and policies. Participate in industry standardization efforts.
- Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems.
- Direct daily operations of department, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines.
- Ensure product features are in line with business vision, current business environment and technology trends.
- Manage and develop a strategy and framework for testing, validation and/or certification for form factors enabling payment capabilities.
