Discover the World (DTW) is excited to be entering a new period of growth within our portfolio, signing several online air accounts that mark an important step forward for our business. To support this momentum, we are looking for talented Account Managers to help shape the next chapter of our journey.

As an Account Manager, you will be the face of one of our major airline clients, playing a pivotal role in representing them within the UK market. You’ll raise brand awareness and drive revenue across a wide range of agencies, trade partners and corporate accounts. You’ll be a proactive and self-motivated ambassador, building strong relationships with trade partners, supporting global sales strategies, and fully embracing our collaborative and customer-focused way of working. This role offers the chance to grow alongside a diverse and expanding portfolio, building lasting commercial relationships and contributing to the client’s long-term success in the region.

Job Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the TMC, Corporate, and Leisure UK agency space
  • Solid knowledge of travel industry practices, including GDS and fare construction (advantageous)
  • Proven ability to make data-driven decisions to shape strategic sales plans
  • Strong consultative sales skills, translating benefits into the partner’s business language
  • Ability to build positive, credible relationships with agency customers through face-to-face and remote engagement
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to deliver high-impact product training and influence clients and prospects
  • Experience supporting trade events, FAM trips, and route launches (including occasional out-of-hours and weekend work)
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on a regular basis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • CRM experience, preferably Salesforce
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adaptable to changing priorities
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and willingness to share ideas
  • Comfortable working independently as well as within a team

Job Responsibilities

  • In-Market Representation: Serve as the primary representative of the airline client within the assigned market, ensuring their brand and commercial priorities are consistently promoted and executed.
  • Travel Trade Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across the travel trade. Deliver regular, strategic communication to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions that align with the client’s goals.
  • Sales Focus: Drive in-market sales activity through consultative engagement, influencing partners to maximize revenue opportunities and strengthen long-term partnerships.
  • Internal Collaboration: Coordinate with colleagues and share insights to ensure alignment on best practices and market trends. Effective communication within the team is essential to deliver consistent results.
  • Influencing for Growth: Use persuasive and consultative communication to influence trade partners, ensuring the airline client’s commercial objectives are met while fostering mutually beneficial relationships.
