Discover International is partnered with a UK-based CRO seeking a Clinical Trial Manager to lead the operational delivery of Phase I–IV clinical trials for pharmaceutical and biotech sponsors, managing cross-functional teams and study timelines from start-up through close-out.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end trial management for assigned studies, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
- Line-manage CRAs/CRCs, overseeing site monitoring plans and performance.
- Serve as primary point of contact for sponsors, providing status updates and risk escalation.
- Develop and manage study budgets, timelines, and vendor/CRO oversight plans.
- Ensure inspection readiness and compliance with ICH-GCP, MHRA, and sponsor SOPs.
- Lead site selection, feasibility assessments, and study start-up activities.
- Chair internal and sponsor study team meetings.
Skills & Experience
- Life sciences degree (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years in clinical trial management within a CRO, pharma, or biotech setting.
- Proven line management/mentoring experience.
- Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP, UK/EU trial regulations, and risk-based monitoring.
- Experience managing study budgets and vendors.
- Experience in oncology, rare disease, or cardiovascular trials.
