Discover International is a specialist recruitment firm based in the City of London. We help some of the world's leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies hire the senior talent behind the next generation of medicines. We work across Europe and the US, and we are growing.

We are looking for ambitious people to join our London team as Recruitment Consultants. You will identify high-calibre professionals, build relationships with them, and place them into senior roles at leading life sciences companies. Because we work at executive level with high fee values per placement, the earning potential here is significantly higher than a typical sales or commercial role. Prior recruitment or life sciences experience is preferred, but not required.

What you will be doing:

  • Speaking with C-suite and Director-level professionals across pharmaceuticals, biotech, and healthcare consulting
  • Learning how to win retained and contingent searches from senior clients and become a trusted partner to leading organisations
  • Headhunting passive candidates at Principal, Director, VP, and Partner level who are not actively looking for roles
  • Managing executive search processes end to end, from first approach through to offer and start
  • Negotiating high-value offers and fees, with individual placements regularly generating five-figure fees
  • Building your own specialist market and becoming the go-to person in your area

Why this is different from a typical commercial role: Most entry-level recruitment roles involve high-volume, low-fee placements. At Discover International, you work on executive-level searches where individual placements generate significant fees. Fewer but higher-value deals, deeper client relationships, and commission that reflects the quality of the work rather than the quantity.

Who we are looking for:

  • Confidence speaking with new people and building rapport quickly
  • Ambition and a competitive mindset
  • Resilience in a target-driven environment
  • A genuine interest in sales and business development
  • Strong work ethic and someone who takes ownership of their results

We have hired people from hospitality, retail, competitive sport, and sales. If you have experience in a customer-facing or commercially driven environment, we want to hear from you.

What you will get:

  • Competitive base salary with uncapped commission — top performers earn well above the average for this type of role
  • Clear progression based on performance, not tenure
  • Structured training and ongoing support from experienced consultants
  • International client base across Europe and the US
  • Quarterly Lunch Club at some of London's best restaurants
  • Annual incentive trips — previous destinations include Las Vegas, Ibiza, Rio, Puerto Rico, and Colombia
  • Regular team socials and a team culture where everyone wants each other to succeed
