This role suits an experienced multi-skilled maintenance engineer with a strong mechanical bias and solid electrical awareness, knowledgeable experience with hydraulics and pneumatics and a proven track record in fault finding and delivering practical, effective fixes. The Senior Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer role:
- You will be responsible for maintaining plant and equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation in line with production needs, focusing on preventative maintenance across a range of systems.
- Responding to breakdowns across mechanical and electrical systems.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and compliance checks.
- Supporting installation work and site improvement projects.
- Lean Six Sigma operation.
- Working with a SAP maintenance system.
Senior Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer experience:
- Experience of extrusion lines, hydraulics, pneumatics, industrial motors, pumps, gearboxes, rotating machinery.
- Temperature control systems and associated instrumentation.
- A practical approach to fault finding with the proven ability to identify problems through to solution.
- Electrical competence is required; however training can be offered.
- Experience within the plastics industry, or working with extrusion processes, would be useful but not essential.
