This is a role for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who enjoys solving engineering problems properly. You will take ownership of projects from concept through to manufacture, working on bespoke mechanical systems where practical engineering judgement matters just as much as CAD capability. Some projects involve refining existing products. Others start with a blank sheet and require first-principles thinking, technical confidence and the ability to make sound engineering decisions without waiting for layers of approval. This is not an environment where engineers sit in silos producing drawings all day. You will be involved throughout the lifecycle, working closely with manufacturing, suppliers and customers to deliver solutions that work in the real world.

What you will be doing:
  • Leading mechanical design activity from concept to manufacture.
  • Designing robust, manufacturable mechanical systems and assemblies.
  • Producing and reviewing detailed 3D models and engineering drawings.
  • Solving technical problems with a practical, hands-on mindset.
  • Working directly with customers and internal teams to deliver projects properly.
  • Supporting manufacturing and build activity where required.
  • Acting as a senior technical voice within the engineering team.
What we are looking for:
  • Strong mechanical design engineering background within manufacturing or machinery environments.
  • Good understanding of design for manufacture and assembly.
  • Strong 3D CAD capability, SolidWorks or Inventor.
  • Engineers who are comfortable taking responsibility and making decisions.
  • Practical engineering mindset with sound technical judgement.
  • Someone who enjoys ownership rather than being heavily managed.
Why this role stands out:
  • Varied engineering challenges.
  • Real influence over projects and outcomes.
  • Expanding business with long term investment.
  • Engineering led culture where capability is respected.
