Are you an organised, proactive person who enjoys keeping things moving, solving problems and supporting customers? We are looking for a Customer Support & Service Coordinator to join an aftersales and service team within a successful manufacturing business. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, combining customer service, administration, service coordination and aftersales support.

This administration led role would suit someone with a strong administrative background who takes ownership, uses initiative and naturally stays one step ahead.

The Role

You will be a central point of contact for customers and the service team, ensuring enquiries, service visits and aftersales support are managed efficiently. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating service engineers' schedules and managing the service calendar.
  • Handling customer enquiries and aftersales support requests.
  • Managing warranty claims and related administration.
  • Supporting customers with service and maintenance requirements.
  • Escalating customer issues to the appropriate technical teams when required.
  • Liaising with internal departments to ensure customer queries are resolved.
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating company systems.
  • Supporting the promotion of service contracts and aftersales offerings.
  • Delivering excellent customer service, particularly when dealing with challenging situations.

About You

We are looking for attitude and personality as much as experience. You should be highly organised with excellent attention to detail, confident dealing with customers both on the phone and via email, calm under pressure and comfortable handling difficult conversations. You should be able to use your own initiative without needing constant direction, adaptable and willing to get involved wherever needed, emotionally intelligent with strong communication skills, and a team player who enjoys building relationships across the business. Someone who takes pride in doing a great job and always looks for ways to improve.

Experience Required

Minimum 5 years' experience in administration, customer service, service coordination or similar role. Experience working in a customer led environment, which could be in manufacturing, engineering, industrial, automotive or a technical environment. Comfortable using business systems and managing multiple priorities. Strong customer-facing experience.
