We’re looking for an Account Executive to join as a founding member of the EMEA sales team for our Advertising Solutions business. You’ll thrive in a zero-to-one environment, helping build and scale a new, fast-growing business at Discord. You’ll bring strong experience across gaming, advertising/media/marketing, a consultative approach, and the ability to build a meaningful recurring book of business. This role is London-based and focused on building partnerships with top-tier Mobile and XP Gaming companies across EMEA (publishers, studios, and their media agencies).
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own a named/account list and new business pipeline across EMEA, with emphasis on top-tier Mobile and XP Gaming companies and their agencies.
- Identify clients’ marketing needs and develop solutions/proposals that deliver measurable value.
- Prospect and source new marketing opportunities with game publishers, studios, and media agencies.
- Build and deepen senior relationships with key decision-makers (Marketing, UA/Growth, Brand, Media, Partnerships).
- Lead complex sales cycles end-to-end: discovery, solutioning, forecasting, negotiation, and close.
- Help clients achieve business and marketing goals through Discord’s solutions; act as a strategic partner on marketing and media plans.
- Deploy and execute effective, repeatable sales motions; apply an account planning process to prioritize accounts, grow revenue, and navigate multi-threaded stakeholder groups.
- Create and deliver compelling presentations and proposals using internal and external insights and data.
- Develop product fluency: become an expert in Discord solutions and tailor recommendations to varying client needs.
- Represent Discord credibly across the gaming, media, marketing, and advertising ecosystem - internally and in relevant industry forums.
What you should have
- 5+ years of direct experience in digital advertising / media sales / brand marketing / media buying within the gaming ecosystem.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering against revenue, pipeline, and account growth targets, including closing new business.
- Strong experience managing gaming clients throughout the funnel, with deep understanding of their challenges and objectives.
- Proven ability to build relationships with senior marketing decision-makers at game publishers/studios and their agencies - especially within Mobile and XP Gaming.
- Commercial strength: experience negotiating and structuring standard and nonstandard-buying agreements.
- Analytical mindset: ability to interpret performance data, surface insights, and translate them into clear recommendations.
- Comfort operating cross-functionally (Sales, Client Success, Product, Marketing, Legal, Finance) to unblock clients and deliver outcomes.
- Familiarity with the marketing and ad tech ecosystem; ability to capture product needs and contribute to scalable go-to-market feedback loops.
- Excellent communication and executive presence - able to influence, challenge, and build trust.
- Willingness to travel across EMEA for in-person client meetings & events.

- Existing relationships with major EMEA gaming publishers/studios, leading Mobile Gaming companies, and/or key holding-company and independent media agencies.
- Experience selling emerging or innovative ad products in a high-growth environment.
- Passion for gaming and strong knowledge of the EMEA gaming landscape.
The On Target Earnings (OTE) for this full-time position is £164,000.00 to £184,500.00 + benefits. Our ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
