Are you a qualified accountant with leadership experience and a passion for driving high standards in public finance? The DBS is looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Financial Accounts to lead our Financial Accounts team. In this senior finance role, you'll shape financial policy, establish robust controls, and ensure we meet all statutory, regulatory and government reporting requirements.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading and motivating a high-performing Financial Accounts team
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and FReM
- Overseeing the production of annual accounts and audit processes
- Developing finance policies and improving financial systems
- Supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation
A qualified accountant (CCAB or CIMA)
Proven experience in senior financial accounting roles
Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS/FReM)
Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
Experience managing audits and reporting to government bodies
