Starting Salary - £40,000. Monday to Friday with some evenings and weekends depending on workloads.
We’re looking for a proactive Field Operations Manager to provide visible leadership and operational oversight across our Fire, Water, and Strip-Out teams. This is a field/office-based role (2–3 days per week in the field) that combines hands-on technical support with project management, compliance auditing, and people development.
You’ll ensure every claim is treated like a project, safe, efficient, compliant, and right the first time. From auditing live jobs and enforcing health & safety, to mentoring Supervisors and driving surge planning, you’ll be a key leader in shaping consistent, high-quality operations. This is a highly visible role where leadership, accountability, and professionalism are vital. You’ll protect insurer trust, support policyholders, and uphold DisasterCare East Midland's values.
Responsibilities
- Technical & Field Leadership – providing on-site leadership, audits, and live decision-making.
- Operational Management – planning resources, managing surge/on-call cover, and holding Supervisors accountable.
- Training & Development – mentoring Supervisors and delivering training/coaching to Technicians.
- Continuous Improvement – identifying workflow improvements and driving innovation across teams.
- Health, Safety & Compliance – ensuring compliance with RAMS, COSHH, PPE, and promoting a proactive safety culture.
- Customer & Insurer Relations – supporting Supervisors with escalations and attending key claims with insurers rota.
Qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
- DBS Check (essential).
- NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely (essential).
- Leadership or supervisory training (desirable).
