Full-time position - £36000 per annum - Mon-Fri 8am-5pm (occasional on-call weekend rotation).

As a leading disaster recovery firm in the UK insurance industry, we are seeking a Senior Restoration Technician to join and strengthen our team. The position requires a skilled technician to manage restoration projects following fire, flood or property damage incidents from start to finish. The candidate should have experience in the restoration industry, excellent communication skills, be responsive to jobs of an urgent nature and have a focus towards health & safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Attend 1st visits to domestic and commercial properties following fire or flood damage to carry out mitigation works and provide a full detailed report for Insurers.
  • Communicate professionally with policyholders, loss adjusters, network builders and team members.
  • Clean and decontaminate properties damaged by fire & smoke.
  • Undertake stripping out works to enable structural drying.
  • Install and manage drying equipment & techniques from 1st visit to final sign off.
  • Work as part of a removals & storage team to pack, remove, clean and store home contents and furniture items (on-site or off-site).
  • Provide detailed BER (beyond economic repair) lists for contents claims using an industry approved app (phone or tablet).
  • Complete job reports and paperwork to meet SLA deadlines including floor plans and moisture records.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations, including risk assessments and use of PPE.
  • Support and help with the development of junior technicians both on-site and off-site.
  • Attend regular training courses as required.
  • Maintain company vehicle and equipment.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • Full UK driving licence (required).
  • Experienced in the restoration industry or a similar technical field.
  • Motivated, reliable, and pro-active.
  • Customer focused with strong communication skills.
  • BDMA and/or IICRC certifications (desirable).
