The Role
The Health & Wellbeing Coordinator is a key member of the People Team, helping to create a healthy, inclusive and supportive workplace where everyone can thrive.
You’ll lead and coordinate initiatives that promote physical, mental, social and emotional wellbeing, while supporting employee engagement, disability and neurodiversity inclusion, and a positive employee experience across Theatre Royal Plymouth.
You’ll act as the first point of contact for wellbeing, providing confidential advice, guidance and signposting to employees and freelancers working on our productions.
Working closely with managers and colleagues, you’ll help develop a proactive wellbeing culture by delivering campaigns, training and initiatives that make a real difference.
The role includes developing partnerships with local wellbeing organisations and support services, reviewing and improving our wellbeing offer, coordinating networks such as Mental Health First Aiders, and ensuring wellbeing initiatives are accessible and inclusive for everyone.
You’ll support the development of wellbeing policies and strategy, analyse wellbeing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and provide practical advice to managers on supporting employee wellbeing.
You’ll also design and deliver wellbeing, mental health, disability and neurodiversity awareness training to build confidence and capability across the organisation.
We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, organised and proactive, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships at every level.

Job Requirements
We’re looking for someone with experience in a health, wellbeing or mental health role, together with a genuine passion for supporting people.
A relevant wellbeing qualification is desirable, although equivalent experience is equally valued.
You will have
- Experience delivering workplace wellbeing initiatives.
- Knowledge of UK employment legislation and workplace wellbeing.
- Experience designing and delivering training.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Knowledge of equality, diversity, inclusion, disability and neurodiversity best practice.
- Experience working with external wellbeing partners and support services.
- Mental Health First Aid qualification, or willingness to obtain one.
- A flexible approach, including occasional evening and weekend working.
