Jericho Writers is seeking an experienced Freelance Festival Producer to help deliver the London Festival of Writing 2027, one of the UK's leading events for writers.
Working closely with our Festival Director and internal project team, you'll lead the operational planning and delivery of the festival, coordinating speakers, suppliers, venue logistics and project timelines to ensure an exceptional attendee experience. While our team will develop the programme and speaker line up, you'll bring everything together to create a well-organised and successful live event.
This freelance role will require approximately 40-50 hours between September 2026 and June 2027, with time commitments increasing as the festival approaches and full-time availability required during festival week in central London.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience delivering festivals, conferences or other complex live events
- Is highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented
- Can manage multiple stakeholders, deadlines and priorities
- Is confident coordinating speakers, suppliers and venue partners
- Remains calm under pressure and enjoys solving problems
- Can think strategically about event schedules, logistics and attendee experience
Experience in literary, publishing or educational events would be an advantage, but is not essential.
Closing date: 12 noon on Friday 7 August 2026. Please note that we may close applications early if we receive a strong field of candidates, so early applications are encouraged.
