My name is Des, I have a learning disability and a mental health condition. I enjoy going out for coffee and on day trips. Your job will be to provide me with the personal and social assistance that I need to enable me to live a fulfilling life.
As my Personal Assistant you will work under my direction to meet my needs and will be accountable to me in all aspects of your work. You must be reliable, be able to use your initiative, respect my privacy, and understand the need for confidentiality in all areas of your work.
You do not need prior experience; however, you must be willing and able to learn these skills. Although you do not need to be physically strong to do the job, good general health is important. Driver preferred.
An enhanced DBS will be required, paid for by the employer.
