About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and reliable Personal Assistant to support a 23-year-old young man with a moderate learning disability, Autism, ADHD, behavioural challenges, and generalised anxiety disorder.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by providing tailored support that promotes independence, wellbeing, and confidence.
Responsibilities
- Support emotional regulation and help manage behaviours in a calm, understanding manner.
- Encourage and facilitate participation in meaningful activities, both at home and in the community.
- Build confidence and independence within a safe and supportive environment.
- Provide companionship and reassurance to help reduce anxiety and improve well-being.
Qualifications
- Be empathetic, patient, and adaptable to individual needs.
- Have experience or understanding of autism, ADHD, and mental health conditions (training will be provided if required).
- Be an effective communicator, able to build trust and positive relationships.
- Be reliable, organised, and resilient when faced with challenges.
- Hold a valid driving licence (preferred but not essential).
