About the role:
We are looking for a personal assistant to support our beautiful 5-year-old daughter, Maryam. We are looking for someone who can work alongside us as an extra pair of hands when we are out on social outings to allow us to take all three of our children and keep them all safe.
About Maryam:
Maryam is a beautiful 5-year-old young girl, who lives at home with her parents and two sisters who are 8 and 10. Maryam loves to visit quiet environments which can include the park, swimming at the Alan Shearer Centre and generally being outdoors. At home she enjoys activities such as painting, reading books, playing with her teddies, water play and playing with playdough.
Maryam is autistic as well as having sensory disorder and PICCA. She is also nonverbal. She has no safety awareness so you will need to have awareness of her surroundings and always keep her safe while she is enjoying the activities she loves.

There is a genuine occupational requirement for the holder of this post to be male/female in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and Equality Act 2010 schedule 9 paragraphs 1 – 4.
An enhanced DBS will be required for this role and any offer of employment will be conditional upon satisfactory references and DBS.
