Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Hours: 25 hours a week, with the opportunity for additional shifts.

Salary: £21.00 per hour plus pension and generous benefits.

Requirements

  • Must be a driver.
  • Genuine occupational requirement for the holder of this post to be male/female in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and Equality Act 2010 schedule 9 paragraphs 1‑4.

About the Role

We are looking for a Female Team Leader to coach and supervise a highly skilled and experienced team in supporting a complex and fun‑loving young woman who lives in her family home and receives 2‑1 care. The young person is autistic, has ADHD, an intellectual disability, anxiety and displays behaviours of distress. Compassion and empathy are the cornerstones of our approach. Your dual focus will be on improving the quality of life for the young person we support and providing leadership for her care team.

Responsibilities

  • Coach and supervise the team.
  • Improve the quality of life for the young person we support.
  • Provide leadership for the care team.

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification in positive behaviour support and/or several years’ experience in a commensurate role.
  • Management qualification is desirable; we are willing to support the right candidate through training in this area.
