Contract: Direct Payment (employed), funded by Newcastle City Council

Full UK Driving Licence Essential

About the Role

We are looking for a Female Personal Assistant / Support Worker to support an active wheelchair user in both her personal and professional life. You will be part of a small support team that helps maintain her independence at home, at work, and in the community.

This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys helping others live life to the fullest.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing support at home, during work, and social activities
• Driving a Motability vehicle for appointments, errands, and outings (a full, clean driving licence is required)
• Working independently and as part of a small, dedicated team

Requirements

• Female applicants only (Exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1)
• Must hold a valid UK driving licence with no endorsements
• Reliable, and respectful of privacy and independence
• Previous care experience is not essential – the right attitude is most important
