We are currently recruiting for an experienced personal assistant for a loving 13-year-old boy with Autism and Sensory Processing Disorder, this role requires an experienced individual with a background in supporting individuals with neurodiversity.
Olly is physically tall and strong, so a good level of fitness is required. Olly is a happy, easy going young man who enjoys a variety of sensory stimulating activities including, swimming and trips to the local parks, he would like to visit and explore new venues to widen his experiences within the community. Olly can on occasion become dysregulated so coping strategies to manage these must be demonstrated and implemented to ensure his safety.
The main tasks within this role will include supporting Olly in accessing the local community, accompanying and supporting him to his chosen activities and always ensuring his safety. There are no personal care or toileting needs in this role and Olly is independent in eating and drinking and loves a good Sunday roast with mountains of veggies. He enjoys computers and anything Star Wars or space related so if the galaxies are your topic of interest Olly would love to hear from you.
We are preferably looking for a car driver with a full clean UK driving licence.
