Job Overview
We are currently looking to recruit a personal assistant who will work together with the client on shift to support her to access the community to enjoy her choice of activities, accompany her to any scheduled appointments and assist with some cooking and food preparation within the home. There is no personal care involved in this role. The client likes to take care of her domestic chores herself and will not require any assistance with her day-to-day housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the client to access the community and enjoy her choice of activities.
- Accompany the client to any scheduled appointments.
- Assist the client with cooking and food preparation within the home.
- Support and prompt the client when she is reclusive, respecting her wishes and knowing when to intervene.
- Follow structured plans to support and monitor the clientβs mental health.
Client Profile
Paula is a real character who loves a good giggle, has a sense of humour, is a heavy smoker, enjoys bingo, theatre trips, cinema, bowling, soaps and reality TV shows, and loves listening to music, especially 50s, 60s and 70s Rock & Roll.
Required Experience
- Experience working within the Mental Health sector.
- Experience supporting individuals with a history of mental health and substance misuse.
Additional Information
