Female Social/Educational Personal Assistant x 2 SSANCL

48 hours per week (3 days college support & 3 days Social Assistance); hours to be discussed. This post is for 2 positions. Flexibility required.

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne

Pay: £13.50 per hour

Subhan is a very happy, outgoing 26-year-old young man who loves people. He lives with his parents and sister in Gosforth, Newcastle Upon Tyne. They also have two adorable house bunnies. Subhan has a sister who recently had a baby, making him an uncle to a lovely little boy. He is known as a \’Joker\’ and loves to make people laugh. He enjoys celebrating Christmas with his festive attire and accessories.

He is a keen artist, spends time drawing on his iPad, and loves music, playing guitar, and karaoke. Subhan has Bardet-Biedl Syndrome, which causes visual impairment and other health issues, but he has no personal care needs.

He attends college 3 days a week, studying IT, Art, and Stage Craft, requiring support in a classroom setting, including assistance in understanding lessons.

Outside college, he enjoys trips to theatre, cinema, bowling, and the Alan Shearer Centre. He aims to develop independence using public transport and social skills by meeting friends for activities like shopping and dining.

The role involves accompanying him to activities, supporting his tasks, and supporting his independence. No two days are the same; he\’s adventurous and enjoys trying new experiences, including trips to the Formula 1 track.

He enjoys reality TV, especially the Kardashians, and mimics their catchphrases, bringing fun and laughter to his interactions.

This role requires a driver with own car and full clean UK Driving Licence.

This position has a genuine occupational requirement for the holder to be male/female in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and Equality Act 2010.
