Responsibilities
- Provide personal assistance including bathing, dressing and toilet assistance as required.
- Prepare and serve meals.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties after meals when the primary caregiver is absent.
- Drive the family to activities, ensuring the vehicle is fitted with a seating harness.
- Work collaboratively with an additional carer, alternating shift patterns of up to 5 hours during term time and up to 10 hours during holidays, with weekend coverage possible.
- Safely manage behaviour of a 9‑year‑old autistic child with learning disabilities; remain physically fit and resilient.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Own reliable vehicle with seating harness suitable for a child with special needs.
- Physical fitness and resilience to handle physically demanding child‑care responsibilities.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is preferred.
- Permission to work in the U.K. at the time of employment.
