We are looking for a kind, reliable, and enthusiastic Personal Assistant to support our daughter Ruby, a friendly and creative 16-year-old who attends sixth form full-time. Ruby loves singing, dancing, and music (especially David Bowie and songs from Sing). She enjoys swimming, bowling, horse riding, arts and crafts, and being out and about in the community. She has Down syndrome with regression and would benefit from a supportive PA to help her build confidence, develop skills, and enjoy the activities she loves.
The Role
- Support Ruby to take part in activities she enjoys
- Go swimming safely
- Attend singing and dancing groups
- Enjoy community outings such as shopping, cinema trips, bowling, or eating out
- Take part in arts and crafts
- Build confidence, independence, and skills
- Make choices and have control over her activities
You will also provide emotional reassurance when needed and work closely with the family to deliver consistent, person-centred support.
Personal Care
Minimal personal care is required, including occasional encouragement to use the toilet and support with sanitary products, always provided respectfully and with dignity.
Driving licence essential with access to car and correct insurance.
