We are looking for a kind, reliable, and experienced female carer to support my beautiful 5-year-old daughter. She has Autism, Global Developmental Delay, and Sensory Processing Disorder. She is non-verbal but will often make sounds and can say the odd word. She also carries EpiPens, so awareness of allergies and confidence in handling medical needs is important.
About my daughter:
- She is a very loved and happy little girl who brings so much joy.
- She is a sensory seeker and loves:
- Singing and dancing
- Trampolining
- Swimming
- Inflatapark/Inflataspace trips
- Fun, engaging sensory activities
- She is very affectionate and seeks cuddles, kisses, and hugs, so I am looking for someone who is naturally warm, nurturing, and comfortable with this level of affection.
About the Role:
- £14.00 per hour
- Bank Staff to cover holidays and absences.
- Ongoing: 1 Saturday morning per month (4 hours)
- 1 overnight per month (Saturday) at our house starting Saturday evening
- Includes taking her to a fun activity (e.g. trampoline park)
- Finishing at 2pm Sunday
The Ideal Candidate Will Be:
- Female
- Reliable and committed
- Genuinely caring and passionate about working with children
- Experienced with additional needs (essential)
- Patient, nurturing, and affectionate
- Confident supporting a child with sensory needs and communication differences
- Comfortable managing EpiPens (training can be provided if needed)
- Comfortable changing her nappies
- Have a driving licence and car with appropriate insurance as she isn’t great on public transport and there is a danger near busy roads as she tends to elope
This is a very special role supporting a little girl, so I am really looking for someone who will become a trusted and valued part of her world.
There is a genuine occupational requirement for the holder of this post to be female in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and Equality Act 2010 schedule 9 paragraphs 1 – 4.
