Job location: Accrington / Oswaldtwistle / Blackburn area.

Job Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Support Worker to provide support to a gentleman living in a rented property within the local community.

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of daily life, including dressing, meal planning and cooking, takeaway orders and shopping.
  • Manage paperwork and finances.
  • Facilitate access to groups and social activities, training, work placements and volunteering opportunities.
  • Perform domestic duties (washing, ironing, maintaining personal hygiene and cleanliness of the rented home).

Qualifications

  • Professional and caring individual with a passion for helping others and enabling client independence.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Positive attitude, good work ethic, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • DBS clearance (required); full clean driving licence and access to own vehicle desirable.

Benefits & Working Hours

  • 28 hours per week, hourly rate £12.71.
  • 5.6 weeks paid annual leave.
  • Workplace pension scheme.
  • Hours negotiable and sharable between the two PAs; may include evenings and weekends.
