Salary: £19,864 (FTE £24,500)
Contract: 12-month fixed term contract
Place of work: Units 1G/H Guildford Road Industrial Estate, Hayle, TR27 4QZ
Working hours: 30 hours per week worked over 4 or 5 days, must include a Friday working 9am-4:30pm
Role Purpose
We are looking for someone passionate about fairness, community, and making a real difference to join our small but mighty team as a DIAL Adviser. In this role, you will support people with health conditions or a disability to live more independently, understand their rights, and access vital services, whether it is benefits, housing, employment, or wellbeing. You will be offering advice that truly changes lives, via phone, email, video calls, and face-to-face depending on circumstances.

Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experience in advice or rights-based roles.
- Knowledge of welfare entitlements, especially for disabled people and carers.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Proficient user of Microsoft packages specifically Outlook.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Experience working with disabled people or those facing daily challenges.
- Familiarity with the Equality Act and the Care Act.

Our mission is to represent, include, support and empower (RISE) people living with a long-term health condition or disability, their families and carers in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
