Touretteshero is looking for a Senior Producer. Come and join our team in this leadership role, working closely with the Co-Artistic Directors and Executive Director to deliver Touretteshero’s varied programme of activities including live performance, film, installations, events and elements of our solidarity, consultancy and research programmes in line with our mission and values.

If you’re an experienced producer with a commitment to social justice who would enjoy the challenge of planning and delivering a wide range of activities and want to establish more inclusive ways of working, this could be the role for you. We particularly encourage people with lived experience of disability, neurodivergence or chronic illness to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the artistic and executive directors to lead the producing of Touretteshero’s work including shows, events and other activities.
  • Help oversee the administration of projects within the creative, solidarity and research programmes.
  • Lead on developing future touring plans for existing projects and work closely with the artistic and executive directors to develop co-production arrangements for new and existing work negotiating terms, contracts, royalties and Intellectual Property.
  • Challenge normative working practices to ensure that all aspects of our work align with our mission to create an inclusive and socially just world.
  • With the artistic and executive directors, ensure our commitment to access, inclusion and diversity informs all areas of our programme.
  • Build and manage relationships with new and existing partners for Touretteshero’s work.
  • Develop the organisational budget for each financial year with the directors.
  • Design new programme and project budgets and manage existing £100k+ budgets for ongoing programmes, ensuring projects are managed within agreed budgets and with realistic timelines.
  • Ensure that all financial policies and procedures are followed.
  • Manage and anticipate production and activity requirements while ensuring that staff wellbeing and health, access and safety considerations are not compromised.
  • Work with the artistic directors to promote all activity, producing copy and preparing publicity assets as required.
  • Ensure effective communication with freelance staff and the Touretteshero team about the status of current and future projects.
  • Help with the appointment and management of project freelancers and staff as required and liaise with directors to ensure good recruitment practice. Help line manage team members on a project-by-project basis.
  • Ensure that projects meet legal requirements and are properly insured.
  • Ensure that all projects are assessed for risk and that mitigations are agreed and put in place.
  • Share responsibility for fundraising and income development to support the needs of the company and contribute to funding applications and reporting to funders.
  • Support the research director to embed robust documentation and evaluation processes into each project and ensure that funders’ evaluation and reporting requirements are met.
  • Ensure that the relevant policies and procedures including safeguarding are followed during the planning and delivery of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects embed consideration of environmental impact throughout.
  • Contribute to the development of Touretteshero’s policies and procedures.
