We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative Producer to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of the Belgrade Theatre’s home-produced and co-produced work. Working closely with the Artistic Director and wider team, you’ll ensure productions are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard, overseeing all logistical, contractual, and administrative aspects.

Reports from: Assistant Producer, Programme Co-ordinator

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

To lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of the Belgrade Theatre’s home produced and co-produced work, ensuring productions are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard. This role works closely with the Artistic Director and wider team, overseeing all logistical, contractual, and administrative aspects of production in line with the Belgrade’s co-creation model. The successful candidate will bring strong project management skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to ensure smooth delivery across multiple departments and partners.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Producing

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Belgrade Theatre’s productions, including developing and managing detailed production schedules and budgets, negotiating contracts, securing rights, and coordinating rehearsals and performances both at the theatre and external venues.

Administration

  • Maintain accurate records, ensure administrative processes are followed, and prepare reports for co-producers, partners, and funders.

Financial Oversight Management

  • Manage financial aspects of productions, process invoices, monitor costs, and support financial reporting and claims.

Cross-Team Communication

  • Act as a liaison between departments, participate in meetings, and improve systems and processes within the producing function.

General Responsibilities

  • Represent the theatre professionally, support programming, adhere to policies, and uphold the theatre’s values of inclusion and collaboration.

Person Specification

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Significant experience in producing professional theatre, strong project management, budgeting, contract negotiation, and union agreement experience.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in touring or producing theatre environments, familiarity with Theatre Tax Relief, and supporting junior team members.
