My name is Lisa Heywood and I’m a ceilidh and barn dance teacher based in the Midlands, UK. Ceilidh dancing (said kay-lee) is a form of social folk dance with roots throughout the UK.

About the project
I am planning to launch of a new podcast in January 2026 called Dance Social. In each episode I will interview a different person to explore social dancing of all kinds through the lenses of queerness, disability and different cultures.
The podcast will initially be funded by a Kickstarter, which will run during October 2025.
Brief
I am looking for someone to design a logo for the podcast, which captures the themes of social dance, queerness, disability and different cultures. This logo would also be used in Kickstarter rewards such as stickers, postcards and prints. The deadline for the design of the logo would be 30th November 2025, to allow for sufficient “breathing room” before the podcast launches.
This is a freelance engagement – please provide a quote with your pitch! I will be adding the cost of the logo to the Kickstarter goal, so there is no set budget.
How to pitch
Just fill in the short pitch form by Thursday 21st August. I will be in touch with everyone who pitches, and will try to make a decision by the end of August.
I do not expect you to do any design work for the pitch, just to share some examples of your work and tell me why you’re interested in the project.
