Playground has an Advisory Board to provide guidance and support us to realise our ambitions. We are seeking to refresh the makeup of the Advisory Board. We are particularly interested in individuals with knowledge and skills in early learning and childcare, special educational needs, financial management and strategy, marketing and digital media to complement the skills of existing Board Members and the Playground team.
Key Responsibilities
- Bring passion, ideas, and expertise to Playground.
- Prepare for and attend four board meetings a year, taking an active role in discussions and decision making. There will also be regular opportunities to attend Playground sessions and engage in person, with expense contributions available.
- Provide mentorship, challenge, and support to the Playground team.
- Act as an ambassador and advocate for Playground.
- Have a passion for creativity and the arts and be intellectually curious.
- Share our mission to empower the lives of all young children and their families through the highest quality of culture and creativity.
- Have a demonstrable commitment to equality, inclusivity, and diversity.
Qualifications
Individuals should have experience and knowledge in early learning and childcare, special educational needs, financial management and strategy, marketing and digital media.
Benefits and Commitments
Board positions are undertaken on a voluntary basis. Reasonable travel expenses are met where necessary. Participation offers the satisfaction of contributing to real, positive impacts on children and families, and support and guidance for a dynamic and passionate staff team. The Playground Advisory Board meets four times a year, with some meetings online and some in person. Meetings generally last around 90 minutes.
