  • Role Purpose

At Dirty Bones, our Kitchen Porters are the backbone of the kitchen.

You'll play a vital role in ensuring the kitchen operates safely, efficiently and to the highest cleanliness standards, allowing our chefs to deliver exceptional food and unforgettable guest experiences.

We're looking for hardworking, reliable team players who thrive in a fast-paced environment, take pride in their work, and bring positive energy every shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Kitchen Cleanliness
  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness throughout all kitchen areas.
  • Wash and sanitise crockery, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans and kitchen equipment.
  • Keep all workstations, floors, walls and storage areas clean and organised.
  • Carry out daily and weekly deep cleaning schedules.
  • Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed.
  • Food Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all Food Safety, HACCP and COSHH procedures.
  • Maintain excellent personal hygiene and wear correct uniform at all times.
  • Report any maintenance, equipment or health and safety issues immediately.
  • Ensure chemicals are stored and used safely.
  • Kitchen Support
  • Assist chefs with basic food preparation when required.
  • Receive and correctly store deliveries using FIFO stock rotation.
  • Help maintain organised dry stores, refrigerators and freezers.
  • Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
  • Prepare equipment and stations ready for service.
  • Teamwork
  • Work closely with chefs and front of house teams to ensure smooth service.
  • Communicate effectively and positively with colleagues.
  • Support team members whenever required.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by assisting with additional duties appropriate to the role.
