About The Role
The Content Strategist is a crucial, client‑facing role responsible for day‑to‑day client deliverables, creating and managing custom client strategies, and communicating with both clients and internal stakeholders. The strategist works mainly with Enterprise clients and must understand how the service line impacts other areas of business to create a holistic marketing strategy.
What You’ll Do
- Strategic Excellence and Best Practices: Create custom strategies and implement best practices that achieve our NSMs. Use the project phase as a foundational moment for building the initial client strategy, and continually optimise and revise strategies based on the client’s overall marketing goals, current and ongoing campaigns, and historical performance, while adhering to Directive best practices.
- Work closely with the Associate Director when roadblocks arise that impact strategy and goal attainment.
- Craft creative briefs and compelling content campaigns, focusing on ideation based on competitor and audience insights.
- Apply best‑practice metrics such as LTV:CAC modelling, customer generation, share of SERP, and content production to inform strategies.
- Goal Setting: Use available data to set client goals during engagement. All goals must be reviewed and approved by the Associate Director before presenting to the client.
- Data sources include Google Analytics, CRM data, SEMrush reporting, and Ahrefs reporting.
- All goals require Associate Director approval before presentation to the client.
- Project Management: Ensure the planned strategy is executed. Use Asana for task delegation and tracking, partner with Project Managers where available, and work with content writers and designers to complete campaigns on time and to client standards.
- Delegate tasks to specialists and clients, ensuring timely completion.
- Communicate due dates and deliverables clearly to all parties.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to maintain schedules and quality.
- Internal and External Communication: Serve as the main interface between clients and the team. Build relationships beyond deliverables, proactively communicate timelines, goal progress, and use Slack for ongoing communication.
- Set expectations for deliverables and progress, sending deliverables on a regular cadence.
- Communicate roadblocks, growth opportunities, and changes in client accounts to internal leadership.
- Reporting: Regularly report progress and impact to clients.
- Bi‑weekly meetings, monthly reports, quarterly reports, and bi‑annual business review presentations.
- Report on NSM progress and ongoing deliverables during meetings.
