Material Co-ordinator Need to be confident and able to establish good relationships with suppliers and internal teams . Will need to be resilient as will often be challenged if delays happen from internal teams and need to beconfident and proactive in finding solutions . job spec is Works with Production, Production Control & Central functions to achieve on-time completion of Events as it pertains to Material availability at minimum (logistics) costs. Challenge, screen and support Central team in material requests clarifications and finding local alternative options involving Production and Engineering e.g. optional repairs, alternative P/N’s, deferrals etc. Liaising with Central functions to develop market knowledge and contacts for new products and services, looking for opportunities to establish partnerships with suppliers with the aim of reducing price and lead times Coordinate with Production and liaise with Sales, Central Management functions to ensure that approved alternates are used as allowed within customer contractual agreements (especially in case of Sourcing problems e.g. Swaps, in-house fabrication etc.). Work in co-operation with Production and Central team to maximise inventory usage and minimise inventory levels.
