dss+ services fall into three core areas: sustainability, operational risk management, and operational excellence. Our global teams support clients in metals and mining, chemicals, oil and gas, power and utilities, agriculture, food and beverage, industry and manufacturing, and private equity.

As a Business Analyst within the Sustainable Finance team, you will deliver client work across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You will collaborate closely with experienced consultants to support predominantly private equity and private debt investors on projects related to responsible investment, climate risk & resilience, impact investing, and sustainability due diligence.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support delivery of responsible investment and sustainability advisory projects for private market investors and their portfolio companies.
  • Conduct research and analysis on ESG and impact trends, regulations, frameworks, and market practices (e.g., CSRD, SFDR, EU Taxonomy, SBTi, NZIF, SDG/SDI frameworks).
  • Prepare materials such as ESG maturity assessments, benchmark analyses, due diligence reports, and climate or impact assessments.
  • Contribute to quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including ESG performance metrics, KPI development, and emissions baselining.
  • Assist in preparing client presentations, proposals, and reports with clear, concise, and visually engaging communication.
  • Coordinate with global team members and subject‑matter experts to ensure timely delivery of project outputs.
  • Actively contribute to internal knowledge development, templates, and thought leadership initiatives within the Sustainable Finance team.

To Be Successful, You’ll Demonstrate:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Sustainability, Business, International Relations, or Engineering.
  • 3 years of experience in consulting, finance, or sustainability (internships or entry‑level roles welcome).
  • Analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with data analysis tools or ESG databases is a plus.
  • Good understanding of sustainability and ESG topics, ideally in an investment or corporate context.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication; additional language skills (e.g., French, German, Spanish, or Arabic) are a strong asset.
  • Proactive, reliable, and organized, with a collaborative mindset and curiosity to learn.
